Surah II the Cow “BAQARAH” Verses 3-161-177-210
الَّذِينَ يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْغَيْبِ وَيُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ – سوره ۲: البقرة – جزء ۱ : آیه 3
3: Those who believe in the unseen and keep up prayer and spend out of what we have given them.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَمَاتُوا وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُولَئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ اللَّهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ – سوره ۲: البقرة – جزء ۲ : آیه 161
161: Surely those who disbelieve and die while they are disbelievers, these it is on whom is the curse of Allah and the angels and men all;
لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ أَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلَكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالْكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ وَآتَى الْمَالَ عَلَى حُبِّهِ ذَوِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْيَتَامَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَابْنَ السَّبِيلِ وَالسَّائِلِينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِ وَأَقَامَ الصَّلَاةَ وَآتَى الزَّكَاةَ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ إِذَا عَاهَدُوا وَالصَّابِرِينَ فِي الْبَأْسَاءِ وَالضَّرَّاءِ وَحِينَ الْبَأْسِ أُولَئِكَ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ – سوره ۲: البقرة – جزء ۲ : آیه 177
177: It is not righteousness that you turn your faces towards the stand the west, but righteousness is that one should believe in Allah and the last day and the angels and the book and the prophets, and give away wealth out of love for him to the near of kin and the orphans and the needy and the wayfarer and the beggars and for “the emancipation of” the captives, and keep up prayer and pay the poor – rate; and the performers of their promise when they make a promise, and the patient in distress and affliction and in time of conflicts ____ these are they who are ture “to themselves” and these are they who guard “against evil”.
هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ إِلَّا أَنْ يَأْتِيَهُمُ اللَّهُ فِي ظُلَلٍ مِنَ الْغَمَامِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ وَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَإِلَى اللَّهِ تُرْجَعُ الْأُمُورُ – سوره ۲: البقرة – جزء ۲ : آیه 210
210: They do wait aught but that Allah should come to them in the shadows of the clouds along with the angels, and the matter has “already” been decided; and “all” matters are returned to Allah.
Surah III the Family of Imran “A, LAY IMRAN” Verses 80-123
وَلَا يَأْمُرَكُمْ أَنْ تَتَّخِذُوا الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَالنَّبِيِّينَ أَرْبَابًا أَيَأْمُرُكُمْ بِالْكُفْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ أَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُونَ – سوره ۳: آل عمران – جزء ۳ : آیه 80
80: And neither would he enjoin you that you should take the angels and the prophets for lords; what! Would he enjoin you with unbelief after you are Muslims?
وَلَقَدْ نَصَرَكُمُ اللَّهُ بِبَدْرٍ وَأَنْتُمْ أَذِلَّةٌ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ – سوره ۳: آل عمران – جزء ۴ : آیه 123
123: And Allah did certainly assist you at Badr when you were weak; be careful of “your duty to” Allah then, that you may give thanks.
Surah IV Woman “NISA” Verses 97
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ تَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ قَالُوا فِيمَ كُنْتُمْ قَالُوا كُنَّا مُسْتَضْعَفِينَ فِي الْأَرْضِ قَالُوا أَلَمْ تَكُنْ أَرْضُ اللَّهِ وَاسِعَةً فَتُهَاجِرُوا فِيهَا فَأُولَئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا – سوره ۴: النساء – جزء ۵ : آیه 97
97: Surely “as for” those whom the angels cause to die while they are unjust to their souls, they shall say: in what state were you? They shall say: we were weak in the earth? They shall say: was not Allah’s earth spacious, so that you should have migrated there in? So these it is whose abode is hell, and it is an evil resort;
Surah VI the Cattle “ANAM” Verses 8-61
وَقَالُوا لَوْلَا أُنْزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ وَلَوْ أَنْزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَقُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنْظَرُونَ – سوره ۶: الأنعام – جزء ۷ : آیه 8
8: And they say: why has not an angel been sent down to him? And had we sent down an angel, the matter would have certainly been decided and then they would not have been respited.
وَهُوَ الْقَاهِرُ فَوْقَ عِبَادِهِ وَيُرْسِلُ عَلَيْكُمْ حَفَظَةً حَتَّى إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ تَوَفَّتْهُ رُسُلُنَا وَهُمْ لَا يُفَرِّطُونَ – سوره ۶: الأنعام – جزء ۷ : آیه 61
61: And he is the supreme, above his servants, and he sends keepers over you; until when death comes to one of you, our messengers cause him to die, and they are not remiss.
Surah VII the Elevated Places “ARAF” Verses 11
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَاكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُنْ مِنَ السَّاجِدِينَ – سوره ۷: الأعراف – جزء ۸ : آیه 11
11: And certainly we created you, then we fashioned you, then we said to the angels: make obeisance to Adam. So they did obeisance except I blis; he was not of those who did obeisance.
Surah VIII the Spoils of War “ANFAL” Verses 9
إِذْ تَسْتَغِيثُونَ رَبَّكُمْ فَاسْتَجَابَ لَكُمْ أَنِّي مُمِدُّكُمْ بِأَلْفٍ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ مُرْدِفِينَ – سوره ۸: الأنفال – جزء ۹ : آیه 9
9: When you sought aid from your lord, so he answered you: I will assist you with a thousand of the angels following one another.
Surah XIII the Thunder “RA’D” Verses 11-23
لَهُ مُعَقِّبَاتٌ مِنْ بَيْنِ يَدَيْهِ وَمِنْ خَلْفِهِ يَحْفَظُونَهُ مِنْ أَمْرِ اللَّهِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يُغَيِّرُ مَا بِقَوْمٍ حَتَّى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِأَنْفُسِهِمْ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ سُوءًا فَلَا مَرَدَّ لَهُ وَمَا لَهُمْ مِنْ دُونِهِ مِنْ وَالٍ – سوره ۱۳: الرعد – جزء ۱۳ : آیه 11
11: For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah’s commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition, and when Allah intends evil to a people; there is no over ting it, and besides him they have no protector.
جَنَّاتُ عَدْنٍ يَدْخُلُونَهَا وَمَنْ صَلَحَ مِنْ آبَائِهِمْ وَأَزْوَاجِهِمْ وَذُرِّيَّاتِهِمْ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يَدْخُلُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ كُلِّ بَابٍ – سوره ۱۳: الرعد – جزء ۱۳ : آیه 23
23: The gardens of perpetual abode which they will enter along with those who do good from among their parents and their spouses and their offspring; and the angels will enter in upon them from every gate:
Surah XV the Rock “HIJR” Verses 28
وَإِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِنْ صَلْصَالٍ مِنْ حَمَإٍ مَسْنُونٍ – سوره ۱۵: الحجر – جزء ۱۴ : آیه 28
28: And when your lord said to the angels: surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape.
Surah XVI the Bee “NAHL” Verses 2-28
يُنَزِّلُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ بِالرُّوحِ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ عَلَى مَنْ يَشَاءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ أَنْ أَنْذِرُوا أَنَّهُ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاتَّقُونِ – سوره ۱۶: النحل – جزء ۱۴ : آیه 2
2: He sends down the angels with the inspiration by his commandment on whom he pleases of his servants, saying: give the warning that there is no god but me, there fore be careful “of your duty” to me.
الَّذِينَ تَتَوَفَّاهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ظَالِمِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَأَلْقَوُا السَّلَمَ مَا كُنَّا نَعْمَلُ مِنْ سُوءٍ بَلَى إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ – سوره ۱۶: النحل – جزء ۱۴ : آیه 28
28: Those whom the angels cause to die while they are unjust to them selves. Then would they affer submission: we used not to do any evil. Aye surely Allah knows what you did.
Surah XVII the Israelites “BANI – ISRAEL” Verses 40-61
أَفَأَصْفَاكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ بِالْبَنِينَ وَاتَّخَذَ مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنَاثًا إِنَّكُمْ لَتَقُولُونَ قَوْلًا عَظِيمًا – سوره ۱۷: الإسراء – جزء ۱۵ : آیه 40
40: What! Has then your lord preferred to you give sons, and “for himself” to ken daughters from among the angels? Most surely you utter a grievous saying.
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ أَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا – سوره ۱۷: الإسراء – جزء ۱۵ : آیه 61
61: And when we said to the angels: make obeisance to Adam; they made obeisance, but Iblis “did it not”. He said: shall I make obeisance to him whom thou hast created of dust?
Surah XX TAHA Verses 116
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ اسْجُدُوا لِآدَمَ فَسَجَدُوا إِلَّا إِبْلِيسَ أَبَى – سوره ۲۰: طه – جزء ۱۶ : آیه 116
116: And when we said to the angels: make obeisance to Adam, they made obeisance, but Iblis “did it not”: he refused.
Surah XXI the Prophets “ANBIYA” Verses 26
وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًا سُبْحَانَهُ بَلْ عِبَادٌ مُكْرَمُونَ – سوره ۲۱: الأنبياء – جزء ۱۷ : آیه 26
26: And they say: the beneficent God has taken to himself a son. Glory be to him. Nay! They are honoured servants;
Surah XXII the Pilgrimage “HAJ” Verses 75
اللَّهُ يَصْطَفِي مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا وَمِنَ النَّاسِ إِنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ – سوره ۲۲: الحج – جزء ۱۷ : آیه 75
75: Allah chooses messengers from among the angels and from among the men; surely Allah is hearing, seeing.
Surah XXXII the Adoration “SAJDAH” Verses 11
قُلْ يَتَوَفَّاكُمْ مَلَكُ الْمَوْتِ الَّذِي وُكِّلَ بِكُمْ ثُمَّ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ تُرْجَعُونَ – سوره ۳۲: السجدة – جزء ۲۱ : آیه 11
11: Say: the angel of death who is given charge of you shall cause you to die, then to your lord shall be brought back.
Surah XXXIII the Allies “AHZAB” Verses 43
هُوَ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي عَلَيْكُمْ وَمَلَائِكَتُهُ لِيُخْرِجَكُمْ مِنَ الظُّلُمَاتِ إِلَى النُّورِ وَكَانَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِينَ رَحِيمًا – سوره ۳۳: الأحزاب – جزء ۲۲ : آیه 43
43: He it is who sends his blessings on you, and “so do” his angels, that he may bring you forth out of utter darkness into the light; and he is merciful to the believers.
Surah XXXIV SABA Verses 40
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ أَهَؤُلَاءِ إِيَّاكُمْ كَانُوا يَعْبُدُونَ – سوره ۳۴: سبأ – جزء ۲۲ : آیه 40
40: And on the day when he will gather them all too together, then will he say to the angels: did these worship you?
Surah XXXV the Originator “FATIR” Verses 1
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ فَاطِرِ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَاعِلِ الْمَلَائِكَةِ رُسُلًا أُولِي أَجْنِحَةٍ مَثْنَى وَثُلَاثَ وَرُبَاعَ يَزِيدُ فِي الْخَلْقِ مَا يَشَاءُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ – سوره ۳۵: فاطر – جزء ۲۲ : آیه 1
1: “All praise is due to Allah” the originator of the heavens and the earth, the maker of the angels, messengers flying on wings, two and three, and fear; he increases in creation what he pleases; surely Allah has power over all things.
Surah XXXVII the Rangers “SAFFAT” Verses 1-149-150
وَالصَّافَّاتِ صَفًّا – سوره ۳۷: الصافات – جزء ۲۳ : آیه 1
1: I swear by those draw themselves out in ranks.
فَاسْتَفْتِهِمْ أَلِرَبِّكَ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَهُمُ الْبَنُونَ – سوره ۳۷: الصافات – جزء ۲۳ : آیه 149
149: Then ask them whether your lord has daughter and they have sons.
أَمْ خَلَقْنَا الْمَلَائِكَةَ إِنَاثًا وَهُمْ شَاهِدُونَ – سوره ۳۷: الصافات – جزء ۲۳ : آیه 150
150: Or did we create the angels females while they were witnesses?
Surah XXXVIII SUAD Verses 71
إِذْ قَالَ رَبُّكَ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ إِنِّي خَالِقٌ بَشَرًا مِنْ طِينٍ – سوره ۳۸: ص – جزء ۲۳ : آیه 71
71: When your lord to the angels; surely lam going to create a mortal from dust:
Surah XL the Believer “MOAMIN” Verses 7
7: Those who bear the power and those around him celebrate the praise of their lord and believe in him and ask protection for those who believe: our lord! Thou embracest all things in mercy and knowledge, there fore grant protection to those who turn “to thee” and follow the way, and save them from the punishment of the hell:
Surah XLI HAMIM Verses 30
30: “As for” those who say: our lord is Allah, then continues in the right way, the angels descend upon them, saying: fear not, nor be grieved, and receive good news of the garden which you were promised.
Surah XLII the Counsel “SHURA” Verses 5
تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْ فَوْقِهِنَّ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يُسَبِّحُونَ بِحَمْدِ رَبِّهِمْ وَيَسْتَغْفِرُونَ لِمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أَلَا إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ – سوره ۴۲: الشورى – جزء ۲۵ : آیه 5
5: the heavens may almost rend asunder from above them and the angels sing the praise of their lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth; now surely Allah is the forgiving, the merciful.
Surah XLIII the Embellishment “ZUKHRUF” Verses 60-77
وَلَوْ نَشَاءُ لَجَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ مَلَائِكَةً فِي الْأَرْضِ يَخْلُفُونَ – سوره ۴۳: الزخرف – جزء ۲۵ : آیه 60
60: And if we please, we could make among you angels to be successors in the land.
وَنَادَوْا يَا مَالِكُ لِيَقْضِ عَلَيْنَا رَبُّكَ قَالَ إِنَّكُمْ مَاكِثُونَ – سوره ۴۳: الزخرف – جزء ۲۵ : آیه 77
77: And they shall call out: o Malik! Let your lord make on end of us. He shall say: surely you shall tarry.
Surah XLVII MUHAMMAD Verses 27
فَكَيْفَ إِذَا تَوَفَّتْهُمُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَارَهُمْ – سوره ۴۷: محمد – جزء ۲۶ : آبه 27
27: But how will it be when the angels cause them to die smiting their backs.
Surah L QAF Verses 17
إِذْ يَتَلَقَّى الْمُتَلَقِّيَانِ عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ قَعِيدٌ – سوره ۵۰: ق – جزء ۲۶ : آیه 17
17: When the two receivers receive, sitting on the right and on the left.
Surah LIII the Star “NAJM” Verses 26-27
وَكَمْ مِنْ مَلَكٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ لَا تُغْنِي شَفَاعَتُهُمْ شَيْئًا إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ أَنْ يَأْذَنَ اللَّهُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْضَى – سوره ۵۳: النجم – جزء ۲۷ : آیه 26
26: And how many an angel is there in the heavens whose intercession does not avail at all except after Allah has given permission to which he pleases and chooses.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ لَيُسَمُّونَ الْمَلَائِكَةَ تَسْمِيَةَ الْأُنْثَى – سوره ۵۳: النجم – جزء ۲۷ : آیه 27
27: Most surely they who do not believe in the hereafter name the angels with female names.
Surah LXIX the Sure Calamity “HAQAAH” Verses 17
وَالْمَلَكُ عَلَى أَرْجَائِهَا وَيَحْمِلُ عَرْشَ رَبِّكَ فَوْقَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ ثَمَانِيَةٌ – سوره ۶۹: الحاقة – جزء ۲۹ : آیه 17
17: And the angels shall be on the sides there of; and above them eight shall bear on that day your lord’s power.
Surah LXX the Ways of Accent “MA’AEIJ” Verses 1
1: One demanding demanded the chastisement which must befall.
Surah LXXIV the Clothed One “MUDDASSIR” Verses 28
لَا تُبْقِي وَلَا تَذَرُ – سوره ۷۴: المدثر – جزء ۲۹ : آیه 28
28: It leaves naught nor ought it to spare.
Surah LXXXVI the Night – Comer “TARIQ” Verses 22
22: And your lord comes and “also” the angels in ranks.
