Surah I the Opening “FATEHEH” Verses 1
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ – سوره ۱: الفاتحة – جزء ۱ : آیه 1
1: In the name of Allah, the beneficent, the merciful.
Surah II the Cow “BAQARAH” Verses 22
الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَأَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَكُمْ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَنْدَادًا وَأَنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ – سوره ۲: البقرة – جزء ۱ : آیه 22
22: Who made the earth a resting place for you and the heaven a canopy and “who” sends down rain from the cloud, brings for the with it subsistence for you of the fruits; therefore do not set up rivals to Allah while you know.
Surah III the Family of Imran “A’LAY IMRAN” Verses 5
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ – سوره ۳: آل عمران – جزء ۳ : آیه 5
5: Allah ____ surely nothing is hidden from him in the earth or in the heaven.
Surah IV Women “NISA” Verses 126
وَلِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ مُحِيطًا – سوره ۴: النساء – جزء ۵ : آیه 126
126: And whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is Allah’s; and Allah en compasses all things.
Surah V the Food “MAIDAH” Verses 48
وَأَنْزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقًا لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِنًا عَلَيْهِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَا أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ أَهْوَاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجًا وَلَوْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ أُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلَكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ فِي مَا آتَاكُمْ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَمِيعًا فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ فِيهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ – سوره ۵: المائدة – جزء ۶ : آیه 48
48: And we have revealed to you the book with the truth, verifying what is before it of the book and a guardian over it, there fore judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their low desires “to turn away” from the truth that has come to you; for every one of you did we appoint a low and a way, and if Allah had pleased he would have made you “all” a single people, but that he might try you in what he gave you, there fore strive with one another to hasten to virtuous deeds; to Allah is your return, of all “of you”, so he will let you know that in which you differed;
Surah VI the Cattle “ANAM” Verses 1-95
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ – سوره ۶: الأنعام – جزء ۷ : آیه 1
1: All praise is due to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light; yet those who disbelieve set up equals with their lord.
إِنَّ اللَّهَ فَالِقُ الْحَبِّ وَالنَّوَى يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَمُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتِ مِنَ الْحَيِّ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ – سوره ۶: الأنعام – جزء ۷ : آیه 95
95: Surely Allah causes the grain and the stone to germinate; he brings forth the living from the dead and he is the bringer forth of the dead from the living; that is Allah! How are you then turned away?
Surah VII the Elevated Places “ARAF” Verses 54
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي اللَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَثِيثًا وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِأَمْرِهِ أَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْأَمْرُ تَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ – سوره ۷: الأعراف – جزء ۸ : آیه 54
54: And when those who believe our communications come to you, say: peace be on you, your lord has ordained mercy on himself, “so” that if anyone of you does evil in ignorance, then turns after that and acts aright, then he is forgiving, merciful.
Surah IX Repentance “BARAAT” Verses 116
إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يُحْيِي وَيُمِيتُ وَمَا لَكُمْ مِنْ دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ – سوره ۹: التوبة – جزء ۱۱ : آیه 116
116: Surely Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; he brings to life and causes to die; and there is not for you besides Allah any guardian or helper.
Surah X YUNUS Verses 3
إِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ فِي سِتَّةِ أَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوَى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ الْأَمْرَ مَا مِنْ شَفِيعٍ إِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ إِذْنِهِ ذَلِكُمُ اللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ – سوره ۱۰: يونس – جزء ۱۱ : آیه 3
3: Surely your lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six periods, and he is firm in power, regulating the affair; there is no intercessor except after his permission; this is Allah, your lord, therefore serve him; will you not then mind?
Surah VI HUD Verses 6
وَمَا مِنْ دَابَّةٍ فِي الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا عَلَى اللَّهِ رِزْقُهَا وَيَعْلَمُ مُسْتَقَرَّهَا وَمُسْتَوْدَعَهَا كُلٌّ فِي كِتَابٍ مُبِينٍ – سوره ۱۱: هود – جزء ۱۲ : آیه 6
6: And there is no animal in the earth but on Allah is the sustenance of it, and he knows its resting place and its depository: all “things” are in a manifest book.
Surah XIII the Thunder “RAD” Verses 8
اللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تَحْمِلُ كُلُّ أُنْثَى وَمَا تَغِيضُ الْأَرْحَامُ وَمَا تَزْدَادُ وَكُلُّ شَيْءٍ عِنْدَهُ بِمِقْدَارٍ – سوره ۱۳: الرعد – جزء ۱۳ : آیه 8
8: Allah knows what every female bears, and that of which the wombs fall short of complection and that in which they increase; and there is a measure with him of every thing.
Surah XIV IBRAHIM Verses 19
أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ إِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَأْتِ بِخَلْقٍ جَدِيدٍ – سوره ۱۴: إبراهيم – جزء ۱۳ : آیه 19
19: Do you not see that Allah created the heavens and the earth with truth? If he please he will take you off and bring a new creation.
Surah XVI the Bee “NAHL” Verses 1
أَتَى أَمْرُ اللَّهِ فَلَا تَسْتَعْجِلُوهُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ – سوره ۱۶: النحل – جزء ۱۴ : آیه 1
1: Allah’s commandment has come, therefore do not desire to hasten it; glory be to him, and highly exalted be he above what they associate “with him”.
Surah XVII the Israelites “BANI – ISRAEL” 25
رَبُّكُمْ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا فِي نُفُوسِكُمْ إِنْ تَكُونُوا صَالِحِينَ فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ لِلْأَوَّابِينَ غَفُورًا – سوره ۱۷: الإسراء – جزء ۱۵ : آیه 25
25: Your lord knows best what is in your minds; if you are good, then he is surely forgiving to those who turn “to him” frequently.
Surah XVIII the Cave “KAHF” Verses 109
قُلْ لَوْ كَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِكَلِمَاتِ رَبِّي لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَنْفَدَ كَلِمَاتُ رَبِّي وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِ مَدَدًا – سوره ۱۸: الكهف – جزء ۱۶ : آیه 109
109: Say: if the sea were ink for the words of my lord, the sea would surely be consumed before the words of my lord are exhausted, though we were to bring the like of that “sea” to add there to.
Surah XIX MARIUM Verses 65
رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُ سَمِيًّا – سوره ۱۹: مريم – جزء ۱۶ : آیه 65
65: The lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them so serve him and be patient in his service. Do you know any one equal to him?
Surah XX TAHA Verses 6
لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَمَا تَحْتَ الثَّرَى – سوره ۲۰: طه – جزء ۱۶ : آیه 6
6: His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth and what is between them two and what is beneath the ground.
Surah XXII the Pilgrimage “HAJ” Verses 61
ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ اللَّهَ يُولِجُ اللَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي اللَّيْلِ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ سَمِيعٌ بَصِيرٌ – سوره ۲۲: الحج – جزء ۱۷ : آیه 61
61: That is because Allah causes the night to enter into the day and causes the day to enter into the night, and because Allah is hearing, seeing.
Surah XXIV the Light “NUR” Verses 35
اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ مَثَلُ نُورِهِ كَمِشْكَاةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ الْمِصْبَاحُ فِي زُجَاجَةٍ الزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ نُورٌ عَلَى نُورٍ يَهْدِي اللَّهُ لِنُورِهِ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَضْرِبُ اللَّهُ الْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ وَاللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيمٌ – سوره ۲۴: النور – جزء ۱۸ : آیه 35
35: Allah is the light of the heavens and the earth; a likeness of his light is as a niche in which is a lamp, the lamp is in a glass, “and” the glass is as it were a brightly shining star, lit from a blessed olive-tree, neither eastern nor western, the oil where of almost gives light though fire touch it not ____ light upon light ____ Allah guides to his light whom he pleases, and Allah sets forth parables for men, and Allah is cognizant of all things.
Surah XXV the Criterion “FURQAN” Verses 45
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ الظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَاءَ لَجَعَلَهُ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا – سوره 25: الفرقان – جزء 19 : آیه 45
45: Have you not considered “the work of” your lord, how he extends the shade? And if he had pleased he would certainly have made it stationary;
then we have made the sun an indication of it;
Surah XXVII the Ant “NAML” Verses 59
قُلِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَسَلَامٌ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ الَّذِينَ اصْطَفَى آللَّهُ خَيْرٌ أَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ – سوره ۲۷: النمل – جزء ۲۰ : آیه 59
59: Say: praise be to Allah and peace on his servants whom he has chosen: is Allah better, or what they associate “with him”?
Surah XXIX the Spider “ANKABUT” Verses 21
يُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيَرْحَمُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَإِلَيْهِ تُقْلَبُونَ – سوره ۲۹: العنكبوت – جزء ۲۰ : آیه 21
21: He punishes whom he pleases and has mercy on which he pleases, and to him you shall be turned back.
Surah XXX the Romans “RUM” Verses 19
يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَكَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ – سوره 30: الروم – جزء ۲1 : آیه 19
19: He brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living, and gives life to the earth after its death, and thus shall you be brought forth.
Surah XXXI LUQMAN Verses 10
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِغَيْرِ عَمَدٍ تَرَوْنَهَا وَأَلْقَى فِي الْأَرْضِ رَوَاسِيَ أَنْ تَمِيدَ بِكُمْ وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ دَابَّةٍ وَأَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ كَرِيمٍ – سوره ۳۱: لقمان – جزء ۲۱ : آیه 10
10: He created the heavens without pillars as you see them, and put mountains upon the earth lest it might convulse with you, and he spread in it animals of every kind; and we sent down water from the cloud, then caused to grow there in “vegetation” of every noble kind.
Surah XXXIV SABA Verses 24
قُلْ مَنْ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ قُلِ اللَّهُ وَإِنَّا أَوْ إِيَّاكُمْ لَعَلَى هُدًى أَوْ فِي ضَلَالٍ مُبِينٍ – سوره ۳۴: سبأ – جزء ۲۲ : آیه 24
24: Say: who gives you the sustenance from the heavens and the earth? Say: Allah. And most surely we or you are on a right way or in manifest error.
Surah XXXV the Originator “FATIR” Verses 3
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ هَلْ مِنْ خَالِقٍ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ فَأَنَّى تُؤْفَكُونَ – سوره ۳۵: فاطر – جزء ۲۲ : آیه 3
3: O men! Call to mind the favour of Allah on you; is there any creator besides Allah who gives you sustenance from the heaven and the earth? There is no God but he; whence are you then turned away?
Surah XXXVI YASEEN Verses 12
إِنَّا نَحْنُ نُحْيِي الْمَوْتَى وَنَكْتُبُ مَا قَدَّمُوا وَآثَارَهُمْ وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ فِي إِمَامٍ مُبِينٍ – سوره ۳۶: يس – جزء ۲۲ : آیه 12
12: Surely we give life to the dead, and we write down we have recorded every thing in a clear writing.
Surah XXXIX the Companies “ZUMAR” Verses 5
خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ بِالْحَقِّ يُكَوِّرُ اللَّيْلَ عَلَى النَّهَارِ وَيُكَوِّرُ النَّهَارَ عَلَى اللَّيْلِ وَسَخَّرَ الشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ كُلٌّ يَجْرِي لِأَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى أَلَا هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْغَفَّارُ – سوره ۳۹: الزمر – جزء ۲۳ : آیه 5
5: He has created the heaven sand the earth with the truth; he makes the night cover the day and makes the day overtake the night, and he has made the sun and the moon subservient; each one runs on to an assigned term; now surely he is the mighty, the great forgiver.
Surah XL the Believer “MOAMIN” Verses 61
61: Allah is e who made for you the night that you rest there in and the day to see; most surely Allah gracious to men, but most men do not give thanks.
Surah XLI HAMIM Verses 39
39: And among his signs is this that you see the earth still, but when we send down on it the water, it stirs and swells: most surely he who gives it life is the giver of life to the dead; surely he has power over all things
Surah XLII the Counsel “SHURA” Verses 4
لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظِيمُ – سوره ۴۲: الشورى – جزء ۲۵ : آیه 4
4: His is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and he is the high, the great.
Surah XLIII the Embellishment “ZUKHRUF” Verses 9
وَلَئِنْ سَأَلْتَهُمْ مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ – سوره ۴۳: الزخرف – جزء ۲۵ : آیه 9
9: And if you should ask them, who created the heavens and the earth? They would most certainly say: the mighty, the knowing one, has created them;
Surah XLVI the Sand Hills “AHQAF” Verses 33
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّ اللَّهَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَلَمْ يَعْيَ بِخَلْقِهِنَّ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَى أَنْ يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَى بَلَى إِنَّهُ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ – سوره ۴۶: الأحقاف – جزء ۲۶ : آیه 33
33: we did not creat the heavens and the earth and what is between them two save with truth and “for” an appointed term; and those who disbelieve turn aside from what they are warned of.
Surah XLVIII the Victory “FATEH” Verses 14
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَاءُ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا – سوره ۴۸: الفتح – جزء ۲۶ : آیه 14
14: And Allah’s is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth; he forgives whom he pleases and punishes whom he pleases, and Allah is forgiving, merciful.
Surah L QAF Verses 6
أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوجٍ – سوره ۵۰: ق – جزء ۲۶ : آیه 6
6: Do they not then look up to heaven above them how we have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps?
Surah LI the Scatters “ZARIAT” Verses 20
وَفِي الْأَرْضِ آيَاتٌ لِلْمُوقِنِينَ – سوره ۵۱: الذاريات – جزء ۲۶ : آ یه 20
20: And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure.
Surah LIII the Star “NAJM” Verses 42
وَأَنَّ إِلَى رَبِّكَ الْمُنْتَهَی – سوره ۵۳: النجم – جزء ۲۷ : آیه 42
42: And that to your lord is the goal;
Surah LV the Beneficent “RAHMAN” Verses 1
الرَّحْمَنُ – سوره ۵۵: الرحمن – جزء ۲۷ : آیه 1
1: The beneficent God.
Surah LVII Iron “HADID” Verses 1
سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ – سوره ۵۷: الحديد – جزء ۲۷ : آیه 1
1: What ever is in the heavens and the earth declares the glory of Allah, and he is the mighty, the wise.
Surah LXVII the Kingdom “MULK” Verses 1
تَبَارَكَ الَّذِي بِيَدِهِ الْمُلْكُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ – سوره ۶۷: الملك – جزء ۲۹ : آیه 1
1: Blassed is he in whose hand is the kingdom, and he has power over all things,
Surah LXXX He Frowned “ABASA” Verses 23
كَلَّا لَمَّا يَقْضِ مَا أَمَرَهُ – سوره ۸۰: عبس – جزء ۳۰ : آیه 23
23: Nay; but he has not done what he bade him.
Surah LXXXV the Mansions of the Stars “BURUJ” Verses 13
إِنَّهُ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ – سوره ۸۵: البروج – جزء ۳۰ : آیه 13
13: Surely he it is who originates and reproduces,
Surah CV the Elephant “FIL” Verses 1
أَلَمْ تَرَ كَيْفَ فَعَلَ رَبُّكَ بِأَصْحَابِ الْفِيلِ – سوره ۱۰۵: الفيل – جزء ۳۰ : آیه 1
1: Have you not considered how your lord dealt with the possessors of the elephant?
