Surah II the Cow “BAQARAH” Verses 219-273

219: They ask you about intoxicants and games of chance. Say; in both of them there is a great sin and means of profit for men, and their sin is greater than their profit. And they ask you as to what they should spend. Say: what you can spare, thus does Allah make clear to you the communications that you may ponder.

273: “Alms are” for the poor who are confined in the way of Allah ____ they cannot go about in the land; the ignorant man thinks them to be rich on account of “their” abstaining “from begging”; you can recognise them by their mark; they do not beg from men importunately; and what ever good thing you spend, surely Allah knows it.

Surah XVI the Bee “NAHL” Verses 126

126: And if you take your turn, then retaliate with the like of that with which you were afflicted; but if you are patient, it will certainly be best for those who are patient.

Surah XXVIII the Narrative “QASAS” Verses 54

54: These shall be granted their reward twice, because they are stead fast and they repel evil with good and spend out of what we have given them.
