Surah II the Cow “BAQARAH” Verses 173-182-185-225-267
173: He has only forbidden you what dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that over which any other ”name” than ”that of” Allah has been invoked; but whoever is driven to necessity, not desiring, nor exceeding the limit, no sin shall be upon him; surely Allah is forgiving merciful.
182: But he who fears an inclination to a wrong course or an act of disobedience on the part of the testator, and effects an agreement between the parties, there is no blame on him. Surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.
185: The month of Ramazan is that in which the Quran was revealed, a guidance to men and clear proofs of the guidance and the distinction; there fore whoever of you is present in the month, he shall fast there in, and whoever is sick or upon a journey, then ”he shall fast” a ”like” number of other days; Allah desires ease for you, and he does not desire for you difficulty, and ”he desires” that you should complete the number and that you should exalt the great ness of Allah for his having guided you and that you may give thanks.
225: Allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths, but he will call you to account for what your hearts have earned, and Allah is forgiving, forbearing.
267: O you who believe! Spend ”benevolently” of the good things that you earn and or what we have brought forth for you out of the earth, and do not aim at what is bad that you may spend ”in alms” of it, while you would not take it your selves unless you have its price lowered, and know that Allah is self – sufficient, praise worthy.
Surah III the Family of Imran ”A’LAY IMRAN” Verses 28
28: Let not the believers take the unbelievers for friends rather than believers; and whoever does this, he shall have nothing of ”the guardian ship of” Allah, but you should guard yourselves against them, guarding carefully; and Allah makes you cautions of ”retribution from” himself; and to Allah is the eventual coming.
Surah IV Women ”NISA” Verses 16-23
16: And as for the two who are guilty of indecency from among you, give them both a punishment; then if they repent and amend, turn aside from them; surely Allah is oft ____ returning ”to mercy”, the merciful.
23: For bidden to you are your mothers and your daughters and your sisters and your paternal aunts and your maternal aunts and brother’s daughters and sisters, daughters and your mothers that have suckled you and your foster ____ sisters and mothers of your wives and your step daughters who are in your guardian ship, ”born” of your wives to whom you have gone in; but if you have not gone in to them, there is no blame on you ”in marrying them”, and the wives of your sons who are of your own loins, and that you should have two are of your own loins, and that you passed; surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.
Surah V the Food ”MAIDAH” Verses 3-89
3: For bidden to you is that which dies of itself, and blood, and flesh of swine, and that on which any other name than that of Allah has been invoked, and the strangled ”animal” and that beaten to death, and that killed by a fall and that by being smitten with the born, and that which wild beasts haven eaten, except what you slaughter, and what is sacrificed on stones set up ”for idols” and that you divide by the arrows; that is a transgression. This day have those who disbelieve despaired of your religion, so fear them not, and fear me, this day have I perfected for you your religion and completed my favour on you and chosen for you Islam as a religion; but whoever is compelled by hunger, not inclining will fully to sin, then surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.
89: Allah does not call you to account for what is vain in your oaths, but he calls you to account for the making of deliberate oaths; so its expiation is the feeding of ten poor men out of the middling ”food” you feed your families with, or their clothing, or the freeing of a neck; but who so ever cannot find ”means” then fasting for three days; this is the expiation of your oaths when you swear; and guard your oaths, thus does Allah make clear to you his communications, that you may be grateful.
Surah VI the Cattle ”ANAM” Verses 54-119
54: And when those who believe in our communications come to you, say: peace be on you, your lord has ordained mercy on himself, ”so” that if any one of you does evil in ignorance, then turns after that and acts aright, then he is forgiving, merciful.
119: And what reason have you that you should not eat of that on which Allah’s name has been mentioned, and he has already made plain to you what he has forbidden to you ____ excepting what you are compelled to; and most surely many would lead ”people” astray by their low desires out of ignorance, surely your lord ____ he best knows those who exceed the limits.
Surah XVI the Bee ”NAHL” Verses 106-119
106: He who disbelieves in Allah after his having believed, not he who is compelled while his hearts is at rest on account of faith, but he who opens ”his” breast to disbelief ____ on these is the warth of Allah, and they shall have a grievous chastisement.
119: Yet surely your lord, with respect to those who do an evil in ignorance, then turn after that and make amends, most surely your lord after that is forgiving, merciful.
Surah XXIV the Light ”NUR” Verses 4-33
4: And those who accuse free women then do not bring four witnesses, flog them, ”giving” eighty stripes, and do not admit any evidence from them ever; and these it is that are the transgressors.
33: And let those who do not find the means to marry keep chaste until Allah makes them free from want out of his grace, and ”as for” those who ask for a writing from among those whom your right hands possess, give them the writing if you know any good in them, and give them of the wealth of Allah which he has given you: and do not compel your slave girls to prostitution, when they desire to keep chaste, in order to seek the frail good of this world’s life; and whoever compels them; then surely after their compulsion Allah is forgiving, merciful.
Surah LXXIII the Wrapped Up ”MUZZAMMIL” Verses 20
20: Surely your lord knows that you pass in prayer nearly two ____ thirds of the night, and ”sometimes” half of it, and ”sometimes” a third of it, and ”also” a party of those with you; and Allah measures the night and the day. He knows that you are not able to do it, so he has turned to you ”mercifully”, there fore read what is easy of the Quran. He knows that there must be among you sick, and others who travel in the land seeking of the bounty of Allah, and others who fight in Allah’s way, therefore read as much of it as is easy ”to you”, and keep up prayer and pay the poor rate and offer to Allah a goodly gift, and what ever of good you send on before hand for yourselves, you will find it with Allah; that is best and greatest in reward; and ask forgiveness of Allah; surely Allah is forgiving, merciful.
