Surah II the Cow ”BAQARAH” Verses 90

90: Evil is that for which they have sold their souls ____ that they should deny what Allah has revealed, out of envy that Allah should send down of his grace on whom so ever of his servants he pleases; so they have made themselves deserving of wrath upon wrath, and there is a disgraceful punishment for the unbelievers.

Surah VI Women ”NISA” Verses 111

111: And whoever commits a sin, he only commits it against his own soul; and Allah is knowing, wise.

Surah V the Food ”MAIDAH” Verses 105

105: O you who believe! Take care of your souls; he who errs cannot hurt you when you are on the right way; to Allah is your return, of all ”of you”, so he will inform you of what you did.

Surah VI the Cattle ”ANAM” Verses 70

70: And leave those who have taken their religion for a play and an idle sport, and whom this world’s life has deceived, and remind ”them” there by lest a soul should be given up to destruction for what it has earned; it shall not have besides Allah any guardian nor on intercessor, and if it should seek to give every compensation, it shall not be accepted from it; these are they who shall be given up to destruction for what they earned; they shall have a drink of boiling water and a painful chastisement because they disbelieved.

Surah X YUNUS Verses 44

44: Surely Allah does not do any injustice to men, but men are unjust to them selves.

21: These are they who have lost their souls, and what they forged is gone from them.

Surah XIII the Thunder ”RA’D” Verses 11

11: For his sake there are angels following one another, before him and behind him, who guard him by Allah’s commandment; surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they change their own condition; and when Allah intends evil to a people, there is no over ting it, and besides him they have no protector.

Surah XVII the Israelites ”BANI – ISRAEL” Verses 15

15: Who ever goes aright, for his own soul does he go aright; and whoever goes astray, to its detriment only does he go astray; nor can the bearer of a burden hear the burden of another, nor do we chastise until we raise an apostle.

Surah XVIII the Cave ”KAHF” Verses 29

29: And say: the truth is from your lord, so let him who please believe, and let him who please believe, and let him who please disbelieve; surely we have prepared for the iniquitous a fire, the curtains of which shall encompassed them about; and if they cry for water, they shall be given water like molten brass which will scald their faces; evil the drink and ill the resting place.

Surah XXIII the Believers ”MOAMINUN” Verses 62

62: And we do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

7: Surely we have made what ever is on the earth the embellishment for it, so that we may try them ”as to” which of them is best in works.

3: And certainly we tried those before them, so Allah will certainly know those who are true and he will certainly know the liars.

Surah XXXV the Originator ”FATIR” Verses 18

18: And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another; and if one weighed down by burden should cry for ”another to carry” its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for ”the good of” his own soul; and to Allah is eventual coming.

Surah XL the Believer ”MOAMIN” Verses 9

9: And keep them from evil deeds, and whom thou keepest from evil deeds this day, indeed thou host mercy on him, and that is the mighty achievement.

Surah XLI HAMIM Verses 46

46: Whoever does well, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against it; and our lord is not in the least unjust to the servants.

Surah XLII the Counsel ”SHURA” Verses 20

20: Whoever desires the gain of the hereafter, we will give him more of that again and whoever desires the gain of this world, we give him of it, and in the hereafter he has no portion.

Surah XLV the Kneeling ”JASIYAH” Verses 15

15: who ever does good, it is for his own soul, and whoever does evil, it is against himself; then you shall be brought back to your lord.

Surah XLVI the Sand Hills ”AHQAF” Verses 19

19: And for all are degrees according to what they did, and that he may pay them back fully their deeds and they shall not be wronged.

Surah LIII the Star ”NAJM” Verses 31

31: And Allah’s is what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, that he may reward those who do evil according to what they do, and ”that” he may reward those who do good with goodness.

Surah LXV the Divorce ”TALAQ” Verses 7

7: Let him who has abundance spend out of his abundance, and whoever has his means of subsistence straitened to him, let him spend out of that which Allah has given him; Allah does not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent to which he has granted it; Allah brings about ease after difficulty.

Surah LXVII the Kingdom ”MULK” Verses 1

1: Blessed is he in whose hand is the kingdom, and he has power over all things.

Surah LXXIV the Clothed One ”MUDDASSIR” Verses 38-56

38: Every soul is held in pledge for what it earns,

56: And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive.

Surah LXXVI the Man ”INSAN or DAHR” Verses 29

29: Surely this is a reminder, so who ever pleases takes to his lord a way.

Surah LXXXI the Covering Up ”TAKWIR” Verses 29

29: And you do not please except that Allah please, the lord of the world.

Surah XC the City ”BALAD” Verses 10

10: And painted out to him the two conspicuous ways?

Surah XCI the Sun ”SHAMS” Verses 7

7: And the soul and him who made it perfect.

Surah XCII the Night ”LAIL” Verses 12

12: Surely ours is it to show the way.
