Surah II the Cow ”BAQARAH” Verses 127-128-129-200-201-286

127: And when Ibrahim and Ismail raised the foundations of the house: our lord! Accept from us; surely thou art the hearing, the knowing.

128: Our lord! And make us both sub missive to thee and ”raise” from our offspring a nation submitting to thee, and show us our ways of devotion and turn to us ”mercifully”, surely thou art the oft returning ”to mercy”, the merciful.

129: Our lord! And raise up in them an apostle from among them who shall recite to them thy communications and teach them the book and the wisdom, and purify them, surely thou art the mighty, the wise.

200: So when you have performed your devotions, then laud Allah as you lauded your fathers, rather a greater lauding. But there are some people who say, our lord! Give us in the world, and they shall have no resting place.

201: And there are some among them say: our lord! Grant us good in this world and good in the hereafter, and save us from the chastisement of the fire.

286: Allah does not impose upon any soul a duty but to the extent of its ability; for it is ”the benefit of” what it has earned, and upon it ”the evil of” what is has wrought: our lord! Do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake; our lord! Do not lay on us a burden as thou didst lay on those before us; our lord! Do not impose upon us that which we have not the strength to bear; and pardon us and grant us protection and have mercy on us, thou art our patron, so help us against the unbelieving people.

Surah III the Family of Imran ”A’LAY IMRAN” Verses 8-9-16-53-191-192-193-194

8: Our lord! Make not our hearts to deviate after thou hast guided us aright, and grant us from thee mercy; surely thou art the most liberal giver.

9: Our lord! Surely thou art the gatherer of men on a day about which there is no doubt; surely Allah will not fail ”his” promise.

16: Those who say: our lord! Surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of the fire.

53: Our lord! We believe in what thou hast revealed and we follow the apostle, so write us down with those who bear witness.

191: Those who remember Allah standing and sitting and lying on their sides and lying on their sides and reflect on the creation of the heavens and the earth: our lord! Thou hast not created this in vain! Glory is to thee; save us then from the chastisement of the fire:

192: Our lord! Surely who so ever thou makest enter the fire, him thou hast indeed brought to disgrace, and there shall be no helpers for the unjust;

193: Our lord! Surely we have heard a preacher calling to the faith, saying: believe in your lord. So we did believe; our lord! Forgive us there fore our faults, and cover our evil deeds and make us die with the righteous.

194: Our lord! And grant us what thou hast promised us by thy apostles and disgrace us not on the day of resurrection; surely thou dost not fail to perform the promise.

Surah IV women ”NISA” Verses 75-77

75: And what reason have you that you should not fight in the way of Allah and of the weak among the men and the women and the children, ”of” those who say: our lord! Cause us to go forth from this town, whose people are oppressors, and give us from thee a guardian and give us from thee a helper.

77: Have you not seen those to whom it was said: with hold your hands, and keep up prayer and pay the poor ____ rate; but when fighting is prescribed for them, lo! A party of them fear men as they ought to have feared Allah, or ”even” with a greater fear, and say: our lord! Why hast thou ordained fighting for us? Where fore didst thou not grant us a delay to a near end? Say: the provision of this world is short, and the here after is better for him who guards ”against evil”; and you shall not be wronged the husk of a date stone.

Surah V the Food ”MAIDAH” Verses 83-114

83: And when they hear what has been revealed to the apostle, you will see their eyes over flowing with tears on account of the truth that they recognize; they say: our lord! We believe, so write us down with the witness ”of truth”.

114: Isa the son of Marium said: o Allah, our lord! Send down to us food from heaven which should be to us an ever recurring happiness, to the first of us and to the last of us, and a sign from thee, and grant us means of subsistence, and thou art the best of the providers.

Surah VI the Cattle ”ANAM” Verses 28-128

28: Nay, what they concealed before shall become manifest to them; and if they were sent back, they would certainly go back to that which they are forbidden, and most surely they are liars.

128: And on the day when he shall gather them all together; o assembly of jinn! You took away a great part of mankind. And their friends from among the men shall say: our lord! Some of us profited by others and we have reached our appointed term which thou didst appoint for us. He shall say: the fire is you abode, to abide in it, except as Allah is pleased; surely your lord is wise, knowing.

Surah VII the Elevated Places ”ARAF” Verses 22-38-47-89-126

22: Then he caused them to fall by deceit; so when they tasted of the tree, their evil inclinations became manifest to them, and they both began to cover themselves with the leaves of the garden; and their lord called out to them: did I not forbid you both from that tree and say to you that the shaitan is your open enemy?

38: He will say: enter into fire among the nations that have passed away before you from among jinn and men; whenever a nation shall enter, it shall curse its sister, until when they have all come up with one another into it; the last of them shall say with regard to the foremost of them; our lord these led us astray, there fore give them a double chastisement of the fire. He will say: every one shall have double but you do not know.

47: And when their eyes shall be turned towards the inmates of the fire, they shall say: our lord! Place us not with the unjust people.

89: Indeed we shall have forged a lie against Allah if we go back to your religion after Allah has delivered us from it, and it befits us not that we should go back to it, except if Allah our lord please: our lord comprehends all things in his knowledge; in Allah do we trust: our lord! Decide between us and our people with truth; and thou art the best of deciders.

126: And you do not take revenge on us except because we have believed in the communications of our lord when they came to us! Our lord: pour out upon up patience and cause us to die in submission.

Surah X YUNUS Verses 85-88

85: So they said: on Allah we rely: o our lord! Make us not subject to the persecution of the unjust people:

88: And Musa said: our lord! Surely thou hast given to firon and his chief finery and riches in this world’s life, to this end, our lord, that they lead ”people” astray from thy way: our lord! Destroy their riches and harden their hearts so that they believe not until they see the painful punishment.

Surah XIV IBRAHIM Verses 37-38-41-44

37: O our lord! Surely I have settled a part of my offspring in a valley unproductive of fruit near thy sacred house, our lord! That they may keep up prayer; there fore make the hearts of some people yearn towards them and provide them with fruits; haply they may be grateful:

38: O our lord! Surely thou knowest what we hide and what we make public, and nothing in the earth nor is any thing in heaven hidden from Allah:

41: O our lord! Grant me protection and my parents and the believers on the day when the reckoning shall come to pass!

44: And warn people of the day when the chastisement shall come to them, then those who were unjust will say: o our lord! Respite us to a near term, ”so” we shall respond to thy call and follow the apostles. What! Did you not swear before ”that” there will be no passing away for you!

Surah XVI the Bee ”NAHL” Verses 86

86: And when those who associate ”others with Allah” shall see their associate gods, they shall say: our lord, these are our associate ____ gods on whom we called besides thee. But they will give them back the reply: most surely you are liars.

Surah XVIII the Cave ”KAHF” Verses 10-14

10: When the youths sought refuge in the cave, they said: our lord! Grant us mercy from thee, and provide for us a right course in our affair.

14: And we strengthened their hearts with patience, when they stood up and said: our lord is the lord of the heavens and the earth; we will by no means call upon any god besides him, for then indeed we should have said an extravagant thing.

Surah XX TAHA Verses 45-51-135

45: Both said: o our lord! Surely we fear that he may hasten to do evil to us or that he may become inordinate.

51: He said: then what is the state of the former generations?

135: Say: Every one ”of us” is awaiting, there fore do a wait: so you will come to know who the follower of the even path is and who goes aright.

Surah XXIII the Believers ”MOAMINUN” Verses 107-108-109

107: O our lord! Take us out of it; then if we return ”to evil” surely we shall be unjust.

108: He shall say: go away into it and speak not to me;

109: Surely there was a party of my servants who said: o our lord! We believe, so do thou forgive us and have mercy on us, and thou the best of the merciful ones.

Surah XXV the Criterion ”FURQAN” Verses 65

65: And they who say: o our lord! Turn away from us the punishment of hell, surely the punishment there of is a lasting evil.

Surah XXXII the Adoration ”SAJDAH” Verses 12

12: And could you but see when the guilty shall hang down their heads before their lord: our lord! We have seen and have heard, there fore send us back; we will do well; surely ”now” we are certain.

Surah XXXIII the Allies ”AHZAB” Verses 67-68

67: And they shall say: o our lord! Surely we obeyed our leaders and our great men, so they led us as tray from the path;

68: O our lord! Give them a double punishment and curse them with a great curse.

Surah XXXIV SABA Verses 19

19: And they said: o our lord! Make spaces to be longer between our journeys; and they were unjust to themselves; so we made them stories and scattered them with an utter scattering most surely there are signs in this for every patient, grateful one.

Surah XXXV the Originator ”FATIR” Verses 37

37: And they shall cry there in for succour: o our lord! Take us out; we will do good deeds other than those which we used to do. Did we not preserve you alive long enough, so that he who would be mindful in it should mind? And there came to you the warner; there fore taste; because for the unjust, there is no helper.

Surah XXXVI YASEEN Verses 16

16: They said: our lord knows that we are most surely messengers to you.

Surah XL the Believer ”MOAMIN” Verses 7-8

7: Those who bear the power and those around him celebrate the praise of their lord and believe in him and ask protection for those who believe: our lord! Thou embrace all things in mercy and knowledge, there fore grant protection to those who turn ”to thee” and follow thy way, and save them from the punishment of the hell:

8: Our lord! And make them enter the gardens of perpetuity which thou hast promised to them and those who do well of their fathers and their wives and their off spring, surely thou are the mighty, the wise.

Surah LIX the Banishment ”HASHR” Verses 10-19-20-21-22-23-24

10: And those who come after them say: our lord! Forgive us and those of our brethren who had precedence of us in faith, and do not allow any spite to remain in our hearts towards those who believe; our lord! Surely thou art kind, merciful.

19: And be not like those who forsook Allah, so he made them for sake their own souls: these it is that are the transgressors.

20: Not alike are the inmates of the fire and the dwellers of the garden: the dwellers of the garden are they that are the achievers.

21: Had we sent down this Quran on a mountain, you would certainly have seen it falling down, splitting asunder because of the fear of Allah, and we set forth these parables to men that they may reflect.

22: He is Allah besides whom there is no god; the knower of the unseen and the seen; he is the beneficent, the merciful.

23: He is Allah, besides whom there is no god; the king, the holy, the giver of peace, the granter of security. Guardian over all, the mighty, the supreme, the possessor of every greatness; glory to be Allah from what they set up ”with him”.

24: He is Allah the creator, the maker, the fashioner; his are the most excellent names; what ever is in the heavens and the earth declares his glory; and he is the mighty, the wise.

Surah LX the Examined One ”MUNTAHANAH” Verses 4-5

4: Indeed, there is for you a good example in Ibrahim and those with him when they said to their people: surely we are clear of you and of what you serve besides Allah; w declare ourselves to be clear of you, and enmity and hatred have appeared between us and you for ever until you believe in Allah alone ____ but not in what Ibrahim said to his father; I would certainly ask forgiveness for you, and I do not control for you aught from Allah ____ our lord! On thee do we rely, and to thee do we turn, and to thee is the eventual coming:

5: Our lord! Do not make us a trial for those who disbelieve, and forgive us, our lord! Surely thou art the mighty, the wise.

Surah LXVI the Prohibition ”TAHRIM” Verses 8

8: O you who believe! Turn to Allah a sincere turning; may be your lord will remove from you your evil and cause you to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, on the day on which Allah will not abase the prophet and those who believe with him; their light shall run on before them and on their right hands; they shall say: our lord! Make perfect for us our light, and grant us protection, surely thou hast power over all things.
